Toronto law firm to use biometrics for employee time tracking
A Toronto law firm will soon begin to use fingerprint scanning technology to monitor its employees.
McCague Borlack LLP recently announced plans for an enhanced security system that will require staff, excluding lawyers, to clock in and out of the firm’s office.
The firm claims the system will improve building security, track worked hours and streamline administrative tasks.
McCague Borlack has employed technology and consulting from Qqest to install the time and attendance system.
Qqest leverages “RightPunch” technology from M2Sys in its time and attendance offerings. M2SYS’ RightPunch solution enables M2SYS hybrid biometric platform technology to seamlessly interface with Qqest’s TimeForce time and attendance software system, providing a simple and secure way to record employee timestamps on a computer following a biometric scan.
Most TimeForce customers can select from three different types of biometric readers including fingerprint, finger vein and palm vein readers. McCague Borlack has opted for the fingerprint scanning option.

Amazing! now lawyers will punch in and out a time clock, sounds interesting.
Biometric attendance system can be useful for the corporate world as the fingerprint of each person is different from other person so it is a unique way of marking attendance in most of the companies.
Biometric employee time tracking will help much to streamline administrative tasks and proper time management.
